Benefits
The AK Trading Post will help individuals with disabilities get access to assistive technology (AT) and durable medical (DME) items in different ways to include: many of the items are used and sellers will usually offer them for free or at a lower price, meaning they are more affordable;  consumers do not need to meet eligibility criteria to obtain items from the Swap Shop; items that are not covered by other private and public funding may be available:  discontinued items may still be available;  and individuals with disabilities may get items sooner through the want ads than if they waited for funding from public or private sources.
